Exploit Around Us in Learning English

These days English has been taught to students since in the kindergarten until university. But, most of students have had paradigm that English is one of the most difficult subjects among others. They think that learning English is like learning subject that makes them bored and confused.
They consider that being success in English is caused by a talent that students have but that is wrong. So many students can speak English well because they have motivation and they are not easy to give up in facing some difficulties in English. Hopelessness and lack of motivation in learning English will make students lazy and neglect about English lesson at school.
We have to say thanks to God because he has created this nature and condition to us because of that, we can exploit it for learning English effectively, efficiently, enjoyably. By exploiting our environment around us we can learn English easily wherever and whenever we are. We can learn English more after learning in regular class at school. These are the ways for us in learning English effectively, efficiently, enjoyably:
• By exploiting mobile phone
Having mobile phone in this era is a common. Most of students have it so we can use it to learn English by displaying English as language feature order. We can send message with English to our friends while practicing our abilities.
• By exploiting TV
By watching western movie, we can practice our listening passively. But, we can learn it actively by taking a not and try to rewrite and retell to our friends. And it’s helpful to open dictionary when we find the difficulties in vocabulary.
Music TV it is very useful program in learning English well. We can learn from the VJ (Video Jockey) in opening the program, communicating to the guest and closing the program with English. Also from song lyric, we can translate the song and sing that song correctly in pronunciation and intonation while the cassette or playing the guitar. In this case we can enlarge our vocabulary while singing the song.
• By exploiting the radio
Listening the English broadcasting in the radio is one of the ways in learning English enjoyably. We can learn from the broadcasters how they communicate to the guest and their partner actively
• By game
There are traditional and modern games and nearly all students like playing them. In each game, it has special characteristic that will make students happier. We can use our English as language order in each game so we can learn English by playing.
• Nature
Inviting students go to the outside class such as park or garden in learning English will make them learn it naturally by observing the environment around us and recognizing animals, fruits, and others object in English.
• Tourism resort
This is a big chance for people who live around there because we can practice our English with the native speaker from many countries. Such as in Bali Lombok, etc. it will make us to be brave in asking questions to the foreigners.
It can be concluded that we can develop our English wherever and whenever we are. So do not ever think that learning English is difficult.
